HVC 500 Aniversario Salomon Salomón

WOW! My second time smoking this, but this time with no pair. The HVC 500 Aniversario is a phenomenal and complex cigar. Started out with strong oak notes, leading into a creamy leather smoke. The middle third was extremely oak centred with notes of baking spices, a fantastic smooth retro with hazelnut sprinkled in there… but that final third is where the complexity really picks up, and delivers a ginger note with notes of lemon on the retro. The oak/burnt oak notes last throughout with the creamy leather smoke, but with all of the spices and citrus sprinkled in there. I usually NEVER pick up on more complex notes in a cigar, but this one actually blew me away! Even with a few touchups and some tunnelling, I enjoyed every second of this 90min smoke. The Salomones vitola feels substantial to hold, in a good way, and the cigar itself delivered a truly wonderful experience. Will absolutely be smoking more!!
