Absent — Sweetness, Savoriness.
Dry / Balanced
First review of this one.
As much as I like Cuban cigars, this one wasn't really my cup of tea. It's a small stick but surprisingly complex with lots of transitions. I picked up strong notes of walnuts, leather, cedar, and dark roast espresso, topped with white pepper and a very distinct hint of cardamom. Underneath it all, there is a very earthy, peaty taste that becomes somewhat harsh at the very end. The draw was tight, which is not unusual for Cubans, and I guess the shape of the cigar (perfecto) didn't really help either. I had to go from a straight cut to a V-cut after the first third, which helped to open the draw. In my opinion, it's not really worth the money. There are better Cubans out there.
Cigarro is free for your first thirty cigars. The Method is in there waiting.
